About a year ago, some Auctiva employees got together to create a YouTube video called “How to Make a Low Budget Light Box – Auctiva Tips & Tricks.” Not exactly ground breaking material, but it was something that many online sellers use (or should use) and so, in the friendly Auctiva spirit, they set off to help.
Little did they know that this seven-minute how-to video would end up being viewed more than 42,000 times in one year! In honor of its helpful tips, we decided to share the video here on the Auctiva Blog to see if it could be of use to you.
According to the Auctiva video, you just need a few items to make one of your own light box:
With these items, some scissors, tape and a box cutter, you have the makings for your own mini photography studio. A light box will isolate your item from the background and put more emphasis on the details of your item. Remember, great photos help sell your items.
If you still need some tips and tricks on how to take some great photos without being a professional photographer, check out this article by Rebecca Miller, our in-house eBay pro who knows her way around a light box.
Do you use a light box to help you take professional-looking photos of the items you’re selling online?
