We appreciate the customer feedback to our recent announcement of our newly released pricing structure. For those of you that have been with us for some time, we hope you have come to realize how much we value your business. Over the last few days, our executive staff has been very active on our community boards, listening and commenting on hot topics directly from our users. We do want to help make this transition as smooth as possible and hope to help you understand the changes.

Our Pricing Calculator was developed to help you choose a plan. If you have the past 60 – 90 days of sales data with Auctiva, we’ve even been able to help forecast the plan that would best fit your needs.

I am sorry to learn that eBay has ‘put the screws’ to you also. There was a time other auxillary services were supported by eBay. I truthfully thought yours would last since your website forums were so positive about eBay. Unfortunately eBay has lost its way, and, as a result, there will be other casualities. I hope you are not one of them, but the eBay track record of support, then sqush is their MO. I may have to leave eBay soon, but I may, reluctantly have to leave Auctiva even sooner. It is a sorry state that eBay has become something other than eBay – for all of us. Best of Luck to you and all at Auctiva!
Well, it just sucks that a small seller as myself will now have to pay for your service, even if it’s just $6 per month, that’s a lot for a small seller as myself. I can just go back to using ebay’s own auction setups, but I sure liked the ease and templates from you. Ebay is such a money hungry company anymore, I just don’t believe it! I use to really enjoy ebay, but it’s such a hassle anymore, and it’s not profitable for a small seller. Maybe I will try Yahoo, or Amazon, but I know they don’t get the traffic like ebay….oh well, I sure wish they would have not made it so hard on you all…I mean, you really made it easy for a seller, much easier than ebay does…
I have been using Auctiva for several years and am very sad and disappointed at the announced new pricing schedule. Going from FREE to nearly $40 a month for me is totally unmanageable. I am close to retirement and have used eBay for my only business since closing my store. I have to keep my prices very low just to compete on eBay and with eBay’s listing fees, final value fees and Paypal fees I often am lucky to just break even. Auctiva adding such an exorbitant fee has made me decide to quit my business as soon as I can liquidate my extensive inventory. It is just not worth the effort any longer, and Auctivas fees are just the straw that broke the camel’s back. I give up. I will sign up for the High-Volume Seller for now since I list about 30-38 items a day, but will be looking for a cheaper substitute for Auctiva as soon as possible. As you are fully aware though, since I have so many item descriptions and photos already in Auctiva it will be a huge amount of work to do so. I knew FREE was too good to be true but I never thought you would start charging such a ridiculous fee.

I am in the same boat with many of the disappointed customers. “Auctiva” opening up its own commerce site to essentially compete with “Ebay” was a bold and greedy move by the “Auctiva.” Now all of Auctiva’s customers are suffering from the failed attempt. I have been using auctiva for many years and have referred many of my friends and family to use this service based on my own experience! I had nothing but good things to say about this free service up until this point. I’ve always offered optional insurance for all of most of my auctiva listings and completely supported this method of business 100%. Unless auctiva is able to mend it’s business relationship with ebay auctiva will have lost a faithful supporter of auctiva for good.
I would like to thank auctiva for providing such great service up until this point and it’s unfortunate that things have happened the way it has.

I guess everyone listing through Auctiva was as shocked and disappointed as I was… Ebay is a terrible company and doesn’t care a darn about the seller… Ebay’s stupid and rediculous ONE-WAY feedback rule is a dictatorship if there ever was one ! Now with Auctiva jumping on the band wagon what’s left for the seller… Other than to line the pockets of these large companies through our efforts… And with our merchandize which is less and less profitable…

Dear Auctiva, I am relatively new to ebay and Auctiva, I started ebay in Jan. 09 , Auctiva in April…09. I was just getting the hang of it when everything starts to change and all of a sudden I am looking at a bunch of fees!!! I am already just breaking even with ebay, not taking into consideration all the TIME spent on creating listings etc. How can you expect me to pay $10.00 a month now for what was advertised as a “free” service”? I guess I will go back to ebay listings, dull and boring as they are.. I love auctivas image hosting. That is what makes the difference. I wish you the best . I hope we can all survive this. First of all I would like to thank all the people who raised hell. I was to buzy to email. 9.95 is reasonable. I was looking for other alternatives to using auctiva, I thought I would hang around for a month or two until I could change over. I understand that there are costs to putting up a site like auctiva but $40+ a month was crazy I will pay $9.95 Thanks to The all the Clear thinkers out there. Dan
I’m hoping you all will take a moment to check out our flat-rate plans. I think you’ll find them to be very reasonable, especially for access to the suite of seller tools we have available.
I quit the Auctiva service a day prior to you announcement of the flat rate service and it has caused me some severe headaches. Since I was using the Auctiva checkout, now none of the listings that I have in eBay can pay me because I am no longer a subscriber to the service. Since I, like many of your other customers, are trying to use your service to make our lives a little simpler and are operating on increasingly diminishing margins, this is disconcerting since I now will have to cancel all of my ads and relist them through the eBay system. This is obviously going to cause me a lot of financial pain for listing fees, not to mention the time it takes to re-write all of the ads. I wish you had come up with the flat fee structure prior to my canceling the Auctiva account. Now I am caught at the crossroads of whether to re-establish the Auctiva account and HOPE that I can get the ads to work again so I am not having to invoice all of my buyers, or just restart all of my ads in eBay. I am extremely irritated and disappointed in Auctiva for their initiation of fees in a time when the economy is in distress, people are out of work, taxes and fees are rising, interest rates are starting to go up again and people are turning to eBay/Auctiva to try to salvage at least some of income and pay their bills by whatever legal means are at their disposal. Marty: Check in with Customer Support. http://www.auctiva.com/help/requesthelp.aspx All of your listings should still be salvageable, even if you recently quit the Auctiva service. As you mention above, the flat-rate plan will work for you, so hopefully you’re willing to stick by us and give it another shot.
