We’ve Updated Our iPhone App

3

I’m pleased to announce a new version of the Auctiva.com iOS app. It is free to all Auctiva.com users, and well worth your time if you have yet to check it out.

Our goal is to give you quick, on-the-go access to common tasks you’d do at Auctiva.com, like post a saved listing, check your messages or upload a photo. With our app, you can. In fact, using your device’s camera, you can take a photo and upload it to your Auctiva account all in one app. No hassles and no cables required!

What’s new with 1.1.0?

We’ve squished a few bugs in this update. Thanks to your feedback, we were able to track down an issue with image uploads that some of you were having, a handful of iOS5 compatibility issues and a few other potential problems we spotted.

Developing mobile apps presents some unique challenges unlike those of Auctiva.com: to provide the features you’ve come to love and expect, while fitting them into a small-screen device and maintaining a visually attractive, easy to use, intuitive presentation.

Auctiva.com is a robust service with a history of more than 10 years of adding and refining features. We feel it’s important to introduce features that make sense in a mobile app, while maintaining that ease of use.

Tell us what you think

We’d love to hear your feedback about how we’re doing and what features are most important to you. Please leave us an app store review, or revise your review if this update fixed problems you were having.

I’d also like to remind you to file a Customer Support case if you have questions or run into issues with our app. While we love to see reviews—especially good ones—we can’t respond to each, individually. Opening a support case ensures that your question gets in front of us so that we can help.

And please take the time to complete our survey to help us plan the next update for our app. Your input will help us choose what we add next!

Before this update I could upload batches of pictures from my iPhone in a snap. I loved it. Now with this update I can’t get more than one image to upload without the app crashing. Sometimes two images will upload and the app will freeze and I have to turn my phone off to reset. In short, it’s a pain and I hope the folks who got their issues resolved with this update are enjoying it.

To the above poster, I have tested about a dozen browsers to try and use the Auctiva site on my iPad. I get the best results with Puffin. It’s nowhere near perfect, but it works in a pinch. It’s not really news to anyone that Auctiva’s Flash site isn’t going to play with Apple devices so why not build us some robust iPad and iPhone apps?

I’m stuck on what solution to use for my Ebay store when my Auctiva contract runs out. I use a PC on my desktop but use iPhone and iPad, too. I’ve went through about every trial so far I can find. I genuinely like Auctiva’s interface, but the lack of app support is a deal breaker.

I LOVE the app but there is one problem that prevents me from using it…I can’t use the profiles I’ve set up in the item details section. I sell clothing and have set up templates in this section so that I can quickly enter a few pieces of info and I’m done. Please please please update the app to include these profiles! I would be SO grateful!
    Thanks! Jamie
