First of all, I would like to start out by saying that as Auctiva’s founder and CEO, I am very sorry and humbly apologize for any frustration and anxiety we caused you to experience about the future of your business over the past week and a half. I know that these recent events have greatly upset our community and I take full responsibility for that. I am asking you to give me a chance to make it right.
Auctiva is officially moving to flat monthly pricing: $9.95/mo. everything included
In addition to our Standard flat rate plan, we have a special Starter flat rate plan for ultra-casual sellers: $2.95/mo., up to 15 listings, 500MB image hosting.
Since we first announced our new pricing structure, I’ve been listening to the community’s concerns. Considering the frank feedback you’ve provided, through email, surveys, customer support cases, our community messages boards and other forums, a few facts are abundantly clear:
If you are asking yourself, “Why didn’t they just use this pricing in the beginning?” the answer is that I thought our customers would like to have the choice of picking a tailored plan based on usage. Clearly, I was wrong.
All too often, large companies fail to listen to their customers. Auctiva’s brightest future includes the users who brought us this far. I am making this change now so you can get back to doing business. I sincerely hope that this pricing change allows you continue using the tools you have come to depend on.
If you have already chosen a plan and want to switch to one of the new flat rate plans, just go back and choose a new one. If you like the plan you already picked and want to stay on it, we will support that too. If you still only want to use our free marketing tools, that is still available as well. This is the question we’re seeing quite often. The answer is simple. We have a very large user base, many of whom would pay less than say, a $10 per month flat fee, by using our current pricing structure. We have always been, and will continue to be, a selling tool geared towards all sizes of sellers and we believe that our structure helps make Auctiva an affordable solution.
I understand the confusion and frustration of our customers. This is a big change, and with all change, it presents its own share of challenges. We want to make this transition as trouble-free as we can. For our current customers who have the last 60- 90 days of eBay sales data stored with Auctiva, we’ve calculated their average usage and once they log-into Auctiva.com, on the pricing tab, we identify the most cost-efficient plan for them. Additionally, for those who don’t have existing data available, we created the Pricing Calculator to assist with the plan-selection process. And finally, we do have a top-notch customer service team standing by to provide one-on-one assistance when choosing a plan as well as answer any remaining questions.
The pricing information is a lot to digest. I think it’s important for our customers to take a step back and really take a look at their selling practice and evaluate the plans we have available. As I mentioned previously, when the correct plan is selected, many customers will only pay a few dollars per month to continue to take advantage of our powerful selling tools and fundamental management features.
We appreciate the customer feedback to our recent announcement of our newly released pricing structure. For those of you that have been with us for some time, we hope you have come to realize how much we value your business. Over the last few days, our executive staff has been very active on our community boards, listening and commenting on hot topics directly from our users. We do want to help make this transition as smooth as possible and hope to help you understand the changes.
